Halloween cookie decorating
Take a simple shortbread cookie recipe and make up three colours of basic, royal icing (orange, black and green). Then, either using a spoon or piping equiptment, decorate your cookies into halloween inspired ghosts, pumpkins or black cats!
Ghost pumpkin decorating
This idea is the perfect alternative to pumpkin carving. You can still get creative with drawing fun spooky faces without the mess. Use coloured markers on citrus fruits (oranges, mandarins) or if you desire, you can still try this idea with a pumpkin.
Halloween drawings to be used as decorations or as a hanging mobile
Get the kids to draw halloween themed designs on cardboard. Then, carefully cut them out to use as mobiles, or punch a hole in them and tie them to string as a decoration on glass jars filled with your halloween cookies.
Halloween felt craft
Buy green and orange felt to make mini felt pumpkins this halloween. The kids can make a few for their friends or you can use them as decoration on lolly bags for trick or treaters!
