Egg-cellent recipes to celebrate World Egg Day

Delicious protein-rich eggs take us from breakfast to dinner with absolute ease! So it’s only right we celebrate with World Egg Day on October 13 by digging in to delicious egg recipes. A day of appreciating the humble egg with worldwide events like festivals and omelette cook offs, World Egg Day occurs on the second Friday of October, each year.

All over the world, eggs are enjoyed in different ways. Aussies sing the song of smashed avo on toast with poached eggs (boy are we proud of this invention), those from the UK dig in to Scotch Eggs, the Middle-East has inspired the delicious creation of Shakshouka and let’s not forget about one of our favourite’s – the Russian Egg Salad.

With so many delicious and inspiring cooking ideas, there’s always have a reason to enjoy an egg a day. It’s great for our health and an easy way to enjoy protein. We have come up with a few must try ideas, that are not just great for World Egg Day – but for everyday!

Enjoy a pancake breakfast with the whole family

A big stack of pancakes with delicious toppings like fresh fruit, yoghurt and honey is the perfect way to start the day. Take a little extra time out to enjoy a sit down breakfast with the family before the day begins.
