7 spots in your kitchen that you’re forgetting to clean

Even if you keep your kitchen clean, there is a good chance that you have missed just a couple of spots that can be easily overlooked when cleaning.

Fear not, these parts of the kitchen can be easily cleaned with warm, soapy water and a little elbow grease.

Spots in your kitchen that require cleaning 

Fridge meat compartment: be sure to clean monthly with warm, soapy water or whenever you see spilled meat juices.

Fridge vegetable compartment: clean this compartment monthly, with warm soapy water.

Can opener: this device can hold onto to germs, so wash and dry in the dishwasher or by hand with warm soapy water, after every use.

Blender gasket: after each use, disassemble the bottom of the blender and clean and dry the parts separately. This will prevent the build-up of gunk and mold.

Knife block: shake out the crumbs and loose debris, then use a small brush to clean the knife slots with warm, soapy water. Dry thoroughly. Clean your knife block once a month and be sure to clean and dry knives before putting them back in the block to avoid build-up of mould.

Rubber spatulas: especially if it’s a two piece spatular, be sure to seperate the top and handle. Wash and dry in the dishwasher or by hand.

Fridge ice dispenser: empty the ice bin and wash the bin with warm, soapy water monthly.

 

If you keep these spots in your kitchen clean your kitchen is sure to sparkle even more.
