Western Star spreads the butter love for it’s 90th birthday

For 90 years, Western Star Butter has been creating it’s iconic butter in Cobden, Victoria. A recipe that has been loved by Aussie families all over the country.

Made up of only two natural ingredients – cream and salt, Western Star Butter is deliciously simple. It’s what Aussie families have been adding to Nana’s cakes, their famous mashed potatoes and of course spreading across their toast and hot cross buns for generations.

Which is exactly why, to celebrate 90 years of their famous butter, Western Star is travelling across the country with butter topped hot cross buns in tow. But it’s what they’re travelling in that’s causing quite the stir…

This giant butter shaped truck! Designed to look exactly like the iconic butter block, the truck has begun it’s journey in Victoria and has made it’s first stop, where else but Cobden.

The community that has made the 90 year milestone, possible. Along with the 250 farmers scattered across regional Western Victoria, these individuals are the incredible force behind Western Star’s expertly crafted butter.
